Perhaps the biggest frustration for writer’s is that the “job” of getting published is usually much harder than the writing itself. Self-publishing eliminates that headache. It also keeps the publishing house editor from making content changes that they think will make the book sell better. And it gives you the freedom to promote and distribute the book on your schedule and to your desired market.

We have published novels, poetry collections, and short story collections for numerous authors. Now you can add your writing to the list of published authors.

Your cost to have the book published has two main components - the number of pages in the book and the number of copies you want printed. A secondary component is the design of the cover.

There is no minimum or maximum to the number of pages in your book. However to have an ISBN, there must be at least 50 pages.

There is a minimum of 50 copies that have to be published. This keeps the price you will charge for the book at a reasonable amount to insure it is in line with the price of other books.

No fee is charged if you provide the cover. If we design the cover, there will be an additional fee.

As the author, you will hold the exclusive copyright to the book. As the publisher, Bristol Banner Books holds the first reprint rights.

If you decide to have your book published with us, we will need a full copy of the manuscript, a black & white photo of you, and your bio.

A contract, with a quote on your manuscript cost, will then be sent to you. Payment of ½ of the total cost is due with the contract sent back to us signed. The other half will be due with the galley proofs when sent back signed. Other arrangements on payments can be made.

When your book is published it will be featured on our Home page and will be available for purchase from the site. We do not pay authors the standard royalty. Instead we charge a percentage and you receive the rest of the proceeds from these sales. Basically the percentage covers processing the payment and shipping fees. Specifics are worked out with each individual and will be in the contract.
